Sweet Deliverance

Oh Great Dragon of old, see me
And let your breath consume me in its fire
May the dross I hold so tightly
Unravel in the heat of its flame
Release me from its choking hold I pray
Oh that thou would let me draw near
To be devoured in the fire of antiquity
Turn me into molten lava
That I may take on a new shape
Become a new being
I fear you not Great Dragon
Or your fiery breath
For in them is the release
Of this living death
